Tarangire is a grounded stop on Tanzania’s northern circuit, roughly two hours south of Arusha and within easy reach of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti gives you scale, Ngorongoro gives you density, and Tarangire brings something earthier: elephant paths pressed into dry ground, baobab trees standing watch, and a river that pulls life towards it when the rest of the land starts to harden.
