Carl was born in Bloemfontein but grew up in Cape Town. His fondest childhood memory is that of accompanying his grandmother on many trips to Kruger, the first one when he was four years old. It had a profound impact on him and ignited a passion for the bush, animals and safaris. In his free time, he loves to cook - he is a massive foodie and enjoys sampling the Cape wines. Carl has been in the travel industry since 2011 and has been lucky enough to visit Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda.
